Derek Thorn Remains HOT!
Derek Thorn Racing remained hot, winning his eighth Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series event in a row, coming home first in the "Nut Up 125 presented by 51 FIFTY LTM" from ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY - ROSEVILLE CA Saturday night. Thorn beat leading Rookie-of-the-Year contendor Buddy Shepherd by less than 0.8 seconds to score his 57th career victory and move one step closer to his sixth series championship. With his win, the Motor City Throwdown Challenge goes unclaimed, so the winner of the October Classic at Kern County Raceway Park will score an additional $3,500.
